Post Launch Plans - Free & Paid DLC

Launch day is just the start of the journey we have in store for Dawn of War IV.

While we can’t share many of the finer details quite yet, we’re committed to supporting the game long-term, with plans for a selection of both paid and free DLC updates throughout our Year One Expansion.

Free DLC

Beginning Fall 2026 through to Spring 2027, we’ll be launching the Crusade mode, new map packs, a mission editor, and new Commander scenarios for Last Stand and Crusade - completely free of charge.

Premium DLC

As for our premium DLC plans, we’re preparing a pair of meaty content drops that will flesh out the world of Dawn of War IV even further.

Paid DLC #1: The Blood Ravens Story Prologue

First up will be the Blood Ravens Story Prologue, which sheds further light on the events leading up to the start of Dawn of War IV’s explosive campaign.

As that story begins, our bruised and battered Blood Ravens are limping to Kronus in the hopes of bolstering their ranks from their old Recruiting World.

Meanwhile, as told in the Story Prologue DLC, a new strike force of Blood Ravens are on their way to Aurelia with their own plans for rebuilding their bloodied Chapter.

Paid DLC #2: Aftermath

Later, our Aftermath DLC is set to deepen the campaign even further - and introduce an entirely new faction to Dawn of War IV too.

The Dawn of War series has a long history of delivering new factions after launch, but we think it’s right to keep this particular surprise up our sleeves for now.

Let’s just say that by the time you’ve finished with the game’s blockbuster campaign, there’ll be plenty of scope for speculation on who might benefit the most from Kronus’ new world order.

Both of these premium DLCs will be available to purchase separately, but don’t forget that owners of the Commander Edition receive both the free and paid DLCs as part of their purchase.
