SAGA Online: The dark forces of the Brotherhood

Deep Silver today released some details regarding the second alliance within the free-to-play real-time strategy game SAGA Online from Silverlode Interactive.

The world of SAGA Online is divided between two competing alliances – the Order and the Brotherhood. Within this world, six unique forces are battling for supremacy. These forces, or factions, each come with their own races, skill sets, and buildings. The Order includes the factions of Light, Nature, and Machines. On the other hand, Orcs and Dark Elves support the Shadow and have been successful in calling on the Undead for help against the Order. Together, they form the dark pact of allegiance known as the Brotherhood.

Orcs and Ogres, the main races who make up the Brotherhood force of War, live to fight. They have been at war for a long time, and have adapted their lifestyles accordingly. Their spells and abilities are turned inward and mostly serve to boost their fighting power in combat. They are capable as single fighters, and fearsome in larger groups. Rathos, the God of War, likes nothing better than conflict. He created the aggressive tribe of the Orcs who will even fight each other to win glory in battle.

The Dark Elves, the main race within the Magic faction, have carefully studied the dark forces and delved into the secret art of demonology. This enables them to summon horrible monsters. The God of Magic is Xethos Nom, also known as "The Vile Tempter", the Lesser God who led the other deities to revolt. Xethos Nom is a god of darkness and fear. He created the Dark Elves, a cruel and fearless race, to do his bidding. They despise the Dwarves and hate the Giants of Light for their naïve struggle for "justice and liberty".

The third force within the Brotherhood, the Undead, are the servants of Death himself. Tireless and unafraid, they are strong in magic and in war. Their god, Goth-Azul, rebelled against the established order in an attempt to create chaos and disruption. After defeating him in a titanic battle, the Elder Gods created the celestial body Gaia and shut away Goth-Azul deep inside, to stay there for all eternity. The Undead strive to free Goth-Azul from the Underworld.
