Deep Silver kicks off with Street Football

The license is known as "Foot2Rue" in France. The agreement grants Koch Media the publishing rights to the product within the European Union Italy, San Marino and the Vatican and Switzerland. Street Football is being adapted for Nintendo DS by computer games developer Neko Entertainment.

"The developer Neko Entertainment has expertly brought the charm of the TV series to the Nintendo DS, making excellent use of the platform's specific functionality,"

“Working with Koch Media, one of the major players in video games, was a goal for France Télévisions Distribution, and now we’ve achieved that goal!“,  said Franck Cymes, Director of France Télévisions Distribution.

Street Football is based on the successful animated series broadcast worldwide, with high ratings among young audiences e. g. in France and Italy. In Street Football, the player manages a team of five soccer players, aiming to make them World Champions of Street Football. The plot is based on the first season of the TV series, and features all the popular characters. The game also makes full use of the platform-specific functionality of the Nintendo DS. A range of mini games round off the soccer experience.

Street Football is due for release in Q2 2008.
